This is my knitting buddy, Tibbs. We rescued him from the mean streets of El Cajon which is a suburb to the east of San Diego and we lovingly refer to him as our El Cajon trash cat. Don’t let this peaceful photo deceive you though… he loves to chew on yarn, burrow into project bags, and steal stitch markers.
Last week instead of starting a brand new project after finishing my Birds of a Feather shawl I decided to pull out a UFO (unfinished object) that I haven’t touched since March.
I don’t know why I put this sweater away… it was my project I would bring to the office but since I started working from home this spring I’ve been distracted with other things. Anyways, I’m working on the body and it’s slow going… just mindless stockinette. I need to get it to 15in before I start the ribbing for the hem and I’m at 12.5 in right now.
Also, this is my first color work project and I’m feeling anxious about it. I tried to consciously knit looser but I feel like the puckering I see may not block out. I don’t know… maybe it will? I have no idea. Either way I’m still going to wear this sweater and enjoy it.
