Happy Friday eve, friends! I have been straying from my Sunset Highway sweater (though I do have one sleeve done and I have started the second!) and I have decided to participate in my FIRST mystery knit a long (MKAL) hosted by knitwear designer Casapinka; The Sharon Show! I am fairly new to Casapinka’s designs but I knit her Hugshot shawl a few months ago (see my FO page for pics) and I really enjoy her design aesthetic and her patterns are very well written and FUN!
The Sharon Show MKAL started this past Friday. It will be six weeks long and a portion of the pattern (clues) are released every Friday. The picture above is clue 1 which I finished last night. Its been a really fun knit with lots of different design elements including lacework, mosaic knitting, and color work. What a fun way to learn some new techniques! For me, I had never done mosaic knitting and Casapinka made it simple to do.
I am outside of my comfort zone with the color palette of this project but I think its turning out well and my husband really likes it so depending on how this project turns out it will become a scarf for the hubby.
Yarn used in this project is as follows:
- White Speckled is Tahoe by WolfyWool Yarn
- Navy Blue is Navy Blazer by Emma’s Yarn
- Yellow is California poppy by Baah Yarn
- Green is Basil by SweetGeorgia Yarns
